I always on the lookout for anything at the carboot sales but all i see is junk, junk more junk and then used clothes, shoes and more junk.....maybe Im at the wrong place
i was selling stuff at a car boot sale on sunday. and i sold ALL my crappy junk. junk is the good stuff to most boot sale aficionados. u gota love them
I might have to keep a better eye out from now on, haven't had any luck at garage sales as yet but i don't go to too many either.
I like to check out thrift stores in my area weekly. 99% junk but I do come across a handfull of gems that I either keep for myself or flip on ebay...not too mention if you don't mind second hand clothing my wardrobe would challenge many celebrities. What I have learned is if it looks valuable it is not, or is way over priced because they thought the same thing and looked on ebay for price reference. Its the things that look like nothing that always seem to pull in the cash...like one of the many $350 dollar near new True Religion Jeans that I picked up for $4...I feel like an angel baby wearing these
Believe it or not.......I came struck on this info when I accidentally chatted with my mate yesterday. My kids crazy about them and few old series are apparently highly sought collectable items. L E G O yep...Lego...check this out (not sure if this accurate though as I am not a Lego collector) http://legopicture.com/the-most-expensive-lego-sets-today-news/ Now shall we take a punt on a series like Opera house ($399?) And keep it for 5yrs? Maybe can turn to $2k.
All being well, this time next month I should be in Copenhagen. I'll pick you up an Opera House! I'll build it for you on the plane coming home from Cyprus.
