Newbie! Ok the market closed but its still going down?

    I left work at 5. I checked my desktop ticker and it was at one point and its less now! Why is it moving if the market is closed? Remember, Im new!

    Depends where your ticker is getting its data from.

    Precious metals are traded all over the world and there is always a market open somewhere.

    Yeah, as I understand it each trading market gets its pricing impetus from markets already open as the world spins round, which accounts for large dip and spikes in individual markets as they open.
