Does anyone have any experience with purchasing silver coins from New Zealand Mint in lots of less than $1000 for shipping to Australia?

Any feedback, comments would be appreciated.

That's not a terrible price - about $34.28 AUD each. But seeing as you can buy Perth Mint coins cheaper...

I thought the current quoted price from Perth Mint was around $38 per 1oz Kookaburra. (Although obviously traders will sell for less)

Either way, in my opinion, there are legitimate reasons why one would prefer to obtain PM from a private mint in NZ, over a government mint in Australia.

    What would those reasons be?

    Theoretically speaking:

Anonymity - does one really want to be listed as a PM buyer with a government instrumentality?

Ideology - if one does not like governments, why would one buy PM from them?

It all depends on why you are buying PM.

Prefer my silver as coin, not generic rounds. If it was actually NZ currency might be more interested.
