Hi all proberly a simple question, do the NZ florin and shilling have the same amount of silver as the aussie coins do? and what price would you expect to pay for kilo lots and is their cut off dates for pre and post the same as aussie dates cheers Greg
Yep,I've been ripped off before buying NZ coins. I asked the dealer the same question you did and the b*&#tard told me they were the same. I think the shilling with the moari warrior on it is nice.
Help is at hand guys, even if it's not quite as elegant as the silverstackers calculator. If you stack the predecimal Kiwi coins you will want to check out the NZ silver coin calculator: http://www.coinnews.net/tools/new-zealand-silver-coin-calculator/ My precimal NZ coin collection is three coins so far. But I think they are great looking coins.
My 1949 Crown has silver in it, admittedly it was for the royal visit and is therefore a commemorative coin and only 50% silver at that: http://www.australianstamp.com/coin-web/newzeal/crown/1949crwn.htm Point taken regarding standard florins, shillings, etc. Here is a bit of an overview: http://www.silvercoinstoday.com/silver-coin-price-guides/new-zealand-silver-coin-values/
