    Hello all,

How about we introduce a new sub-forum for general chatting?
Although we all have a common interest in precious metals, I'm sure we all have other hobbies/interests.

    My hobbies are:

    1. Cars
    2. Audio (self proclaimed audiophile)
    3. Watches
    4. Beer :p

I think it would be a fun way to interact with the other members of this forum.
Make friends, meet new people. Y'know, the whole shebang!

I'd be interested in knowing what you guys think.

    Cheers,

    Karl

kjf, there is no sub forum for General discussion on SS anymore (there used to be one).

It was prone to spamming, bickering and social discord, requiring so much active administration to keep under control, the admins tossed it.

Fear not however, there's other areas of the forum now that drivel has spilled over into anyway.

There was a public General Discussion forum for 18 months. After it generated a number of legal threats against other members, myself and the forum, and threats of personal harm to myself and my family, it was closed.

Tinfoil hat conspiracies of secret investors behind Silver Stackers closing it down are a load of bollocks. Feedback from many prospective members whom I introduced to the forum via my day job was that the quality of discussion in there was a turnoff from joining, and I had similar feedback from other members who had introduced their friends or colleagues to the website. It got to the stage where something like 1 in 4 posts on the forum were in General Discussion.

A General Discussion forum is available for paid members - it is not publicly visible, and it's amazing how civil people are when they pay for entry.

When the general discussion went I was disappointed but in hindsight I see it was a good idea. 1 in 4 posts is too much for a specialised forum.

In lieu of philosophical diatribe, I shall instead point out that 1oz of silver provides lifetime stackeredness and access to General Waffle.

I agree its an absolute bargain, but i'm just wondering, Can you pay with sterling silver (or less) or only .999 silver, eg. Would you be able to pay with 3 pre 45 florins or 3 round 50's?, if so I think I will most definitely join up.
