Is there anyone staying up for another 4.5hrs to order any new coins? Personally I can't see any of these selling out in 5hrs or so time. Anything of interest to anyone here? Scorp

I thought the "Silver Proof Rectangular Lunar Coin" already came out. Or maybe this is the single coin not the set?
Oh my god.im a frigging noob. http://clientpreview.vividcluster.crox.net.au/perthmint/forthcoming-releases.aspx Look at the date.dammit. I think it's best if I go to bed now.lol.
Nothing very interesting to me , the polar bear is kind of cool .. what is the deal with the silver britannia do they really want $85 for the 2012 regular edition, I just bought some for $34 , Oh wait it comes in special cardboard packaging that has to be worth $50!
Looks like a bunch of crap to me---for all the quality products they do make, they sure make some junk!
I hope they see their sales crash. Silver is now $27 odd an ounce. A bit over a year ago when it was this price, the collector 1oz coins were about $75 each. But the mint is keeping their collector coin prices at levels like silver is still $48 an ounce by charging $107 for their coins. Even the carded koala is $57.50 when they used to be about $40 max. I suppose you can charge whatever the market is prepared to pay and hopefully the market tells them what it thinks of their prices.
They recently reduced the prices for their collector coins but it's still way above what the prices were at $35 spot (before Easter 2011). http://blog.perthmint.com.au/2011/06/07/silver-coins-down-in-price/ But if fools are willing to pay that much money, what can you do. In saying that though, the 2012 RAM Carded Kangaroos are a massive flop so there's some hope smart money will prevail.
Even at $75 heaps of the Perth Mint stuff is very junky in hand.. the cheap plastic adhevise stickers are extremely tacky.. i ONLY buy the straight silver bullion which are priced fairly... as Peter Schiff says dont buy numismatics if your investing in silver - i am sure he is refferring to silver that is 3x spot and will proberbly get sold in the upcoming years at a price close to spot. Modern collectables are a rubbish investment for the most if the past mirrors the future at all (and i suspect it does). My call is too all to not spend $107 on a one ounce silver coin - proof or not as tempting as it may be (usually not very IMO). Aussies have far to much money as evidenced by strong Proof sales at Perth Mint. Common Sense... its not very common. Perth Mint were very quick to raise prices when spot was moving up fast, much like the big banks and air flight companies with the fuel levy, they are reluctant to reverse there prices to reflect the cheaper costs as they are making super-normal profits and are ALWAYS reluctant to pass it on to the end user. RE: what price the market will bare.. alot of people are committed to finishing sets so its not quite as easy as saying dont buy.. even though i totally agree with your logic and feeling i know some have price in-elasticity to PM product ie: dangerious creatures yearly release.. its either pay the $107 or dont complete you set.. in the long run Perth Mint cant continue to charge 3x spot if customers dont buy.. 1for1
