Im from argentina. Im new collecting pandas 1 oz silver I have 1 2010 and 5 2011 in shipping. What years you recomend? 1989 (first) 1996 long and short date 1997 long and short date Others years? Hi there welcome to the panda hunt. I would work backward from where you are ie 2009,2008,2007ect The expensive years are 2000,2003 I would wait till you knew more before trying to get large and small dates,unless they are a good price and you know what to look for. Get the book from Pandacollector he is a member of Silver stackers. There are two versions of this coin (2000) Frosted and Mirror,all to do with the outside ring on the temple side.. Frosted are the cheap kind at about $500usd mirror can be up to $2000 usd. Good luck hunting

I was going to suggest he get his book as I did from Maggie but noticed "Im from argentina" But all Australian panda hunters should.
The Panda book by Peter Anthony is essential, and is definitely worth getting. Peter's Panda Pricepedia is also fantastic, and is highly recommended. If you're starting out, I would recommend going for 2011s, 2010s and 2009s. This is a fairly straight forward, affordable and easy collection to assemble, and I can imagine the prices for a complete set should be heading upwards as stocks of 2009s reach very low levels.
