Hello to all, My nephew has been bugging me for quite a while to start purchasing silver. After tracking for sometime, I pulled the trigger today on a Green Monster Box from SDBullion at $20.15/ounce delivered. I'm more of a guns and ammunition guy but figured it's time to diversify some more. I've checked out several "silver" forums and yours seems to not only have a good amount of activity but more importantly the posts I read are of a good tone. Thank you for the information and future advice. Craig
welcome to the fray. just be careful advertising to the world how much you have bought or stacked. I would hate you to have to use your ammunition in defence of your stack. keep your powder dry, again welcome. Russ
Hi & Welcome. Why spend fiat on silver? When I show people my guns & ammunition, they give me their silver.
Welcome Monster box of what? Have a look at my signature for FAQ's that will help increase your knowledge etc. we're a lovely bunch here and always happy to help. Ps; admin aren't too fond of gun talk on the forum as they don't want the AFP asking questions
I recently bought a couple more monster boxes myself. I've now got a tan Chinese Panda box, four US Mint green ASE boxes, a US Mint red AGE box and all but one of the complete RCM silver Maple box series. I've got one each of the RCM yellow (regular silver Maple box), blue (Wildlife series box), red (Privy mark silver Maple box), orange (another Privy mark silver Maple box), purple (Silver Arctic Fox box) and gray (25th Anniversary silver Maple box) boxes. The only one I have left to get is the black one (the one they put their 10oz bars in). Got good prices on all of them, too! They're actually fairly reasonably priced when they're empty --- and they're great for general storage of loose coins, bars and miscellaneous PM-related crap. I doubt I'll ever fill up all my boxes, but I'm ready to go in case I win a big lottery or something. BTW --- although the Panda box is more expensive, it's gigantic and well worth the money. If you ever filled it with silver, you'd need a hand truck to move it around.
Thanx for all of the kind welcomes and for the heads up on not discussing the other stuff I mentioned. Real interesting, the SDBullion site where I ordered has advertised the silver eagles at "$2.25 over spot - lowest anywhere" for a long time regardless of quantity. However, not an hour after I placed my order, that note disappeared from their web page and now the premium is up to $2.37 for the same quantity and higher for lower quantities. Not a lot but just as I've read when the price drops quickly sellers increase their premium. A Yellow RCM is next on the radar
