    Dragons of Legend is a commissioned series (i.e. a distributor has proposed the designs, commissioned the artwork and received approval for the series release).

    Working Dogs and a few other series are the same - they are not a Perth Mint Lunar edition coin.

    What's irritating to me is when this series was announced there was no mention of the 5oz. They basically just spring it on us. I can only assume there will be different sizes of the next ones in the series. I've only started collecting PM coins this year. Is this normal for the mint to do this?

    Indeed. The Perth Mint won't announce the full coin program in advance so you can plan in advance what to buy and what not to buy. It's known that there will be the range of bullion lunars etc but the proof and colourised varieties are drip fed out over the year.
