^^^Same. Met him at a WA meet more than a year ago and had a good conversation with him, seemed legit. Very strange to ask for such personal info and not follow through on the trade. I hope he responds ASAP with a reasonable excuse for the behaviour.
I know Accumulator and that seem very out of character. I would wait to hear from him before passing any judgment.
I gave him my shipping address. All of a sudden, he requires photo ID and a bill as proof of residency. >>> give this member user name to us - let us confirm if he may ask such things over here ... 99% I would vote to ban such people who demand to much of info
I also know Accumulator well from several WA meetings. Always comes across as an upstanding bloke and I've never had a problem with him. I'm sure there is a misunderstanding somewhere. I would also suggest waiting for his feedback.
I have met and transacted with Accumulator, he attends Stackers meetings here in Perth and is a valued member, I can say with confidence that accumulator would not be involved in any sham transaction and certainly does not have any intention in stealing your identity. I'm sure there is another side to this transaction. Please give us the full story - are you the purchaser or seller, are you transacting from overseas, are you transacting or trading ($ , Paypal, Bitcoin, money order). Also I can say not all of the transactions on this forum that I have been involved in have completed successfully for various reasons.
The trade history for Accumulator is here: http://forums.silverstackers.com/reputation.php?uid=4066&pid=307147 It may be worth PM'ing those he's done trades with recently to see if anything similar occurred.
Alternatively, someone may have hacked his account. Its unlikely, but such things have happened on other forums.
Hey guys, I didn't intend this thread to turn into a witch hunt, but it looks like it has steered in that direction. I only asked a very simple question: is photo ID and proof of residency needed to trade PM, and that question has already been answered with a unanimous NO. I don't have anything to hide, but at the same time I don't want to disclose every detail of the transaction in public, at least not without Accumulator's consent (in case he doesn't want it made public). If he runs, then I'll disclose everything. Since he required all the personal info, he should follow through with his words. If he wanted to back out even after agreed, then he shouldn't have asked for personal info in the first place. His communications has been great, up until I sent ID and proof of residency, in which he backed out and disappeared. I've sent several emails since then, asking for an explanation. I'm still in the dark the past few days. It's very strange behavior, but I'm still giving him the benefit of the doubt for a few more days.
with confidence? u must be a very easily trusting person . unless u grew up with him, hes appart of your family or hes your gay lover. then you cant say that.
Oh, I didn't know gay lovin' was required for trading. My wife is not going to be happy with my growing silver stack now.
gay lover  i knew 2 irish gay guys their names were Ben Doon & Phil Mcrackin or was it Ben Dover & Phil Mccavity ? ....too long ago cant remember
Well, yeah..i come here for the big stacks And silver back bears. Isnt that what this was all about?? :|
I am going to give up stacking and get the missus to do it, now that should liven up the bedroom a bit
The only thing I ask for and give out is a contact number. Mainly for postage and in case of future need to make contact. A phone number is easier to reach than email and forums in most cases. Not a fail safe but touch wood, been ok so far. Hope it all gets sorted and soon.
