I have had a logo designed and have now decided i want to edit the size of the text or the image. I have tried using Inkscape but am a bit lost.

Anyone have any skills in this area that could help me out.

It's an Adobe Illustrator format, so likely created in that. Ideally you would use Illustrator to modify the logo, although it requires a reasonable level of program familiarity/ skills like Inkscape. Even a trial version of Illustrator might not get you the result you are seeking.

Can you go back to the creator?

Unfortunately I can't go back to the creator.

I have tried using Inkscape but like you say it is quite complicated.

    Thanks for the reply.
