your scale seems off the scale, it shows 3.3oz, it should display 3.0oz !
That is too much of an error to be useful.

There's nothing wrong with your scale. Your scale measures in standard oz. Bullion coins are measured in Troy oz. Your kangaroo coin is 1 Troy oz.

1 Troy oz = 1.097 oz.

 

thanks for that, saved me wasting $60 on a new scale i was looking at.

Well done. Takes most people a couple of years to comprehend what Chip says.

.. and even then it's hit n miss.

 

Spend the money on more bullion. You don't need a scale, it's pointless if you are buying known bullion and coins.

You will still need a scale if buying from anyone except reputable bullion dealers.

Just another tip to save you buying new scales, set your scale to measure in grams.

1 Troy ounce is 31.1 grams so as long as you have a calculator, you can work out how many grams your stack should weight.

I hope you enjoy the ride, I think you have picked a great time to start stacking.

Heard every kind of accent imaginable, talking about pieces that were created in every corner of the earth.

People who've been at this for several decades, while others just several days.


We're all just stackers & collectors, here, sharing something in common..

Might want to keep that in mind..
