If it's fake, it's a really beautiful coin. The detail is really well done. On the back side, there's a black dot at 10 o'clock or so. That's about the only damage I can see to the coin. The case is quite murky from sticky tape but the coin appears mint apart from the black dot.
Apmex says $130 each, with one in stock so it looks like it's a difficult coin to get hold of. If someone can verify authenticity, I've absolutely robbed the guy. If not... He's robbed me! Would anyone care to share some info about these beauties from 2005?
For those who are interested, with postage included, I ended up paying around $66 AUD for the coin. Looks like a good buy. Shame about that pesky black dot on the back Either way, another sexy girl joins the collection!
The ebay game has quite a slimy feel to it. Even if the pics look real, there's still a high chance the coin may not be. I'm 5/5 with genuine pandas on ebay but I have a feeling that it won't last forever.
It's real. Diagonal reeding is on 2002 and later silver Pandas. Best wishes, Peter Anthony http://www.pandacollector.com
