Didn't know Rob Gray was a mind mechanic. Everyone that bought from them and recieved their orders should feel very fortunate. This could have been a really bad deal. Anyone want to place wagers whether Gray skips the country or not.
I think they're both weasels. I guess the degree may vary, but both of them are in the same boat. That stated, why is Chris Duane the only one reporting this stuff? Take a look, not any site on the web is saying anything. Yes, I saw the court documents in his video, still no other info on this. It is $1.4million...got to be a story for somebody other than Chris Duane, right?
Coincidence or otherwise, this guy didn't time his job change too well ... http://www.linkedin.com/pub/jared-husch/60/939/bb
I think this went up when CD started selling coins again, if you do a quick search you can find the MM still selling coins minted for other customers
Thanks BB - I hadn't considered that possibility. However, I've seen nothing to say that MM is in administration - all I can find is that an injunction has been served on MM, preventing them from selling, disposing, etc, any of Republic's silver. Oh yes, someone doesn't like MM: http://www.mulliganmintexposed.com/ - includes links to public court records for Chris Duane's and Republic Metal's lawsuits against MM
For those who have followed this story...a new article with some new tidbits.... http://blogs.wsj.com/bankruptcy/2013/09/20/texas-coin-maker-for-fed-estranged-files-for-bankruptcy/
Something like 71,000oz of silver missing when they make 40-50,000oz a month - big whoopsie. Just moving one 1000oz bar is a major PITA - losing track of the equivalent of 71 of them defies belief. That's 2200kg of silver. Lot more to that story!
Very disappointed to hear all this about the MM.....especially since I still have an order being processed by them. Back at the end of May, I placed my first order with them. It took nearly two months to get the product. Despite that and all the grumblings that I was hearing, I placed another order with them in July and then another with them in August. During the first week of September, I received my notification that my second order was being sent out. A day later, Rob's sister calls me and we discussed the issues that were going on with the MM. She was just making courtesy calls. I felt good after our call and was glad that I placed my third order. Then a week later, the company files for Bankruptcy. That kinda ticked me off. Of course it was too late to do anything with the order I placed, but that would have been nice to know during the call. I have seen the Jack Spirko video when he followed Rob around the mint and must say that I was impressed with their small operation. I do like their products and the quality is tremendous....at least what little I do own. Once things settle down with them, I will continue to buy products from them. Unfortunately, things don't look too good at this point. I just hope that I get my remaining silver order.
You gotta appreciate a good scam when you see one but. A lot of effort went into this one... but the rewards were there. Could you imagine the business these guys could build if they put all of their engergy into legit endeavours!!!
