Prospects for Australia's competitive manufacturing performance are so bad that Amcor are willing to pay $7m to close a factory and reduce its cost base.

Meanwhile, in other news ... the Australian Workers Union declares its unending support for the Prime Minister overseeing this deteriorating mess of an economy.

How about someone who can return manufacturing back to Victoria and Australia? You know, create jobs by establishing the right environment for enterprise to flourish?

What better way is there to detroy Australian business and enterprise than by maintaining a record high AUD value and increasing taxes.

I was wondering what Gillard's legacy to Australia might be? While Rudd was free money, free insulation and spending Australia's savings, Gillard might just be that she oversaw the gutting of the economy.

And what is the Victorian government doing about it? It's not all the federal governments fault although they don't help. I'm pretty sure that the government doesn't determine the price of the Australian dollar either.

In the end it always comes down to violence and thuggery when it is unions or Labor. Because they are so vicious to one another in those two institutions anyone that comes up through their ranks becomes a thug and that is exactly what we do not need now. We need unity and intelligence, not "street tough" and shovels full of dirt on women's door steps.
