These yo-yo prices seem to be flushing out some fine collectibles. I picked this up recently :)

Wow, familiarity breeds contempt, I had forgotten just how beautiful the designs are on the humble 1c, 2c, 5c and 10c Australian coins.

I would be too concerned that no one would believe it was gold, or they would spend it for a dollar. I have not seen the set, are they all the right diameter and thickness?

Are those available separately? What is the set called, if it has a "name" as such? What is it valued at, in fiat? On this site, I have never seen anything so awesome. :)

They are the right diameter and thickness, the only difference is the weight

Which set are you talking about? If your talking about mine, here is some info:

    http://www.ramint.gov.au/media/press-releases/2006/20060502.cfm

It has around 4.65oz of gold and is 1 of only 300 complete sets (the only set ever made w the gold 1966 50c, 1c and 2c)

Now look what you've done. I've gone and ordered the RAM 2011 six coin plus 1&2c cessation silver set. Oh I am so impressionable!
