Initially I did not like it. I may say now, It is a nice coin. I really like the looks of it in hand. If you are collector of these and don't act I think you will regret it. Often times coins like this start out slow as the initial flood of the release hits the market. Given time for the coins to get into the hands of collectors this one will be sought after just like all the rest. That does not mean it is soaring to 2 grand but it will do well IMHO.
Wow. 80 yesterday, 12 today. Selling like hot cakes at APMEX...just going to have to buy me another one for 199.00. I was tempted to buy the Ganghis set with a mintage of 500, but I think this is probably the better buy? http://www.apmex.com/product/81699/mongolia-2014-1-oz-silver-500-togrog-wildlife-protection-manul
I'm surprised someone here with cash (wish I had it), doesn't buy the complete stock at APMEX ($199.00), and then turn around and sell it for 80+ dollars on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...ilver+Antique-Finish+Coin+Mongolian+&_sacat=0 UPDATE: The heck with it, I just bought 5 more to sell. 6 more left at APMEX. Who will get the rest.
Looks like you have a case of the Mongolian fever. Best of luck flipping them on ebay. I had good success doing that with the previous four issues. I'm currently selling off my last set.
Yeah. I'll keep at least 3 for posterity (for kids)...as I always do. Then give the others a whirl, and see what happens. You have the complete set? Wow. I only have the Argil (just 1...those were out of my price range). !
current Ebay selling price for this coin is as low as $235! So after the fee and shipping, you will be lucky to make $10  http://www.ebay.com/sch/Coins-Paper...=1&LH_Sold=1&_nkw=Mongolia+2014+Manul&_sop=15
It's kinda of wild for me, because when these initially came out, I really didn't care for them, but when I saw the actual coin, I really liked them. I'm in no rush to sell. Heck, may just keep all of them in my treasure chest. Anyone know where I can get those wooden boxes at an inexpensive rate? Thanks
So you are saying the manul coin you get from APMEX has NO wooden box with it? I think those sold by downies will have the wooden box.
Yepper, that's right. However, a lot of them on eBay are selling without the box. If I don't grade, I'll buy the wooden box. I've dedcided I'm keeping mine for the long haul. ;-)
Dip stickts at Apmex undersold these, now at $209 with just 4 left. They may have more allocation but I doubt it with the price raise. http://www.apmex.com/product/81699/mongolia-2014-1-oz-silver-500-togrog-wildlife-protection-manul
