Paul Ryan is an imperialist, his only concern financially is that the american empire and the american welfare state cannot both exist due to economic constraints so he chooses empire as the one to continue. The real solution is neither and lesser of two evils is welfare state. Maybe i'm just jaded and trust Mitt to choose someone just as sold out as he/Obama is :|

N'ah. You're just still bummed that Ron Paul's gone and he may not be able to run in the next olympics.

I would say realistic rather than jaded. You've weighed the facts and evidence and come to the correct conclusion.

The Teleprompter-in-Chief, Obama Bin Laden did the exact same thing last election when introducing Joe "never seen a campaign dollar I didn't like" Biden.

I'll take Paul Ryan over these vile, corrupt crooks any day of the week.

Oh, and his articulate too, and has no need for teleprompters, a la the Teleprompter-in-Chief.

And here he makes the Teleprompter-in-Chief look like the two-bit fraud he truly is.

Paul Ryan is a great pinup boy for NeoCons but he is not a true Republican. Although he presents well and is eloquent, he loses all credibility on these two salient points:

    1. His Path to Prosperity plan has NO Budget cuts and actually increases the Budget Deficit and significantly increases the National debt. (So does Obama's, by the way). Ryan proposes a decrease in FUTURE spending increases.

    2. He proposes ZERO cuts from Defence spending yet is keen to cut welfare. As any civilized country knows: Defence cuts first, and welfare cuts last; it's about priorities.

Both Obama and Romney offer the same thing. There is NO choice.
So by all means continue to support your football team, whether it is Team Republican or Team Democrat. But other than the satisfaction of having your name on the trophy, your country still loses big time.

Saying that Romney/Ryan is the lesser of two evils is like having a car heading towards a cliff at 8km/h instead of one going at Obamas 10km/h. Calling Ryan a fiscal conservative is 100% completely absurd. Stand him next to Ron Paul and Paul would make Ryan look like a money burning hippie.

Take away the food, shelter and education and give them a gun, uniform, someone to kill and somewhere to die. Welcome to your future America :(

The same Ron Paul who threw his lot in with Mitt Romney?

The same Ron Paul who voted "no" to the requirement of lobbyist disclosure of bundled donations?

The same Ron Paul who originally voted "yes" to the war on Afghanistan?

    Now that's precious!!!

For the record, I actually admire Ron Paul.

But not the way some "people" do - hint, hint.

On the other hand, I can't think of one single thing I admire about the Teleprompter-in-Chief .

    And that's truly saying something.

At least Paul Ryan is a decent man.

Something which the bi-sexual, pot and crack-smoking slacker, who has spent millions of taxpayer money, in a furtive attempt just to conceal highly sensitive and incriminating personal documents, could never be.

I'd be surprised if there weren't any discussions. But nothing has been decided and I'd be willing to bet money, or silver coins if you prefer :), that no deal will be made. Could be wrong, but if you look at his record, I think it's a safe bet.
