    I recommend 10 x 1 oz coins

Easier to move in the future.

Coins definitely, followed closely by minted bars in 1 oz sizes.

Doesn't matter as far as I'm concerned, cast blobs = buy low premium/sell low premium, minted bars = buy higher premium/sell higher premium. But then sometimes you can get minted bars for the same premium as cast, so you may as well get them. That's for 1 oz and up, if it's less than 1 oz go the coins. Minted bars less than 1 oz are underwhelming and look like sim cards.

I like blobs. Look like proper gold. :)

Why not source them from site sponsors if they are competitive with Perth Mint prices?

    Try contacting Steve http://www.auroraetluna.com/

You could have those coins in your hot little hands in a day assuming that you both can come to an amicable arrangement

mcp, I'd buy 5 x 1oz blobs, and do what nugget says and get a mix of fractional gold coins in in 24k (Pandas and roos et al) and 22k etc (sovvies, ducats, francs and so on).

It's pretty variable, but i'd say about a week on average, for me (sydney). Max has been about 3 weeks. In my experience, gold has always come pretty quickly, but silver has always taken a bit longer.

I'd go for the coins too, but those 5oz cast bars are *really* nice to hold :D

Depends on what your exit strategy, I like smaller weights so I'd (personally) be buying 1/4 and 1/2 oz coins and 5gm and 10gm certicards. (I find this range to be a decent balance between premiums and cost)

Maybe even go down as far as 2.5gm certicards but no lower.

Yeah, but if you're doing a big buy of 10 ounces in one hit

    Prices from BB

    10 x 1oz roo = 16760

    20 x 1/2oz roo = 17240

    100 x 1/10oz roo = 18593

    10 x 1oz card = 16400

    32 x 10gm card = 17414

    64 x 5gm card = 17940

    prices from PM

    1 x 10oz bar 16,044.80

Well the 1oz card looks pretty good BUT I don't think the 1/2oz coins and 10 and 5gm cards are that bad.

I will throw up some prices for 1oz Perth Mint minted bars if you are interested
Current Perth Mint price for a 1 ounce minted bar is $1,642.64 a few minutes ago.
    http://www.perthmint.com.au/metalprices.aspx
If you are happy with a bar that has been acid tested, I can do it for $1620 pick up in Sydney
Also have a couple of Perth Mint 1oz gold rounds for the same price.
    Offer only open till midnight.
    Cheers
