120 kilograms of silver bullion! Gold and Gems and Cash if you have had any stolen they may be yours http://media.smh.com.au/news/national-news/65-million-haul-found-in-storage-unit-2864276.html Phillip
Nice closeup of some PAMP serial numbers there. One benefit to owning Certicards etc - proving they're yours when they're co-mingled with a bunch of stolen loot :/
I thought the same thing as well, however how many dealers/sellers actually mark the serials on the invoice ? Never bought Pamps so not sure.
There is a lot of intelligence needed in this heist. To get 120kg of silver bullion requires knowledge of who owns it and where it is stored. There was also a great deal of skill needed to burgle the safes without leaving a trace. They also burgled safe deposit boxes to the tune of $450,000 (anyone willing to guess which company?) Why were the certificates in the PAMP boxes but the boxes were open? This is how they are stored in bullion dealers for individual bar sales... I believe these men were in allegiance with people who either sell bullion, are custodians of safe deposit boxes or install safes. I trust none of you have your storage address noted with any bullion dealers? I trust no one has safes installed by employees? (they are, afterall just handymen earning a wage). I trust no one
once again if sin=greed hadnt of got in the way these guys could have been set for life. Someone from the storage facility has obviously sniffed about or the cops had been staking them out for a while. Agrred though Rothbard very professional setup, thats why you should insist that ID be presented before you can access you SDB
The facility was Kennards - it was disclosed earlier today in the media. Something like 36 lockers were opened - they are advertised as safe deposit boxes, so no doubt there were people using them for "bulk" PM storage. I note that the Kennards website has been recently updated to remove the advertising of this service from the affected Ivanhoe location.
