Milk spots

    Yes, I got two and all have milky spots! But still better than Maples as they all under deep cover now.

    Spots on Libertads too. I have quite a few slabbed libertads...most of them have spots.

    Rare milky spots shown on Perth mint Pre 2010 coins (no idea why).

    Series one lunar have the problems also.

    hummm because perth mint changed the cleaning chemicals for the planchets or washed them again before the heating possess?

    I have some very early Kooks with no sign of spots even though aren't even in a capsule.

    They have Lacquer Coating

    You may find by now the coating starting to peel , not to worry too much.

    Lacquer Coating normally applied to increase shining & brightness, but refer to <Ancient Coin Collecting>, "Coins that have recirculated from old collections sometimes have a coating of lacquer on them as that was a common method of sealing coins against air and moisture in the 19th century. Lacquered coins are artificially shiny and mostly unattractive. They are usually discounted in value"!

    What????? "Discounted in value"???????

    Lacquer coating makes the coin looks slightly yellowish ( you know there a coating there )

    Bron WTH is up with the premiums on the 1oz silver monkey. Even the privy and the colored is cheaper, lots cheaper. Why are these things so?? potential buyers are enquiring.
