Any comments on the following :- http://blog.milesfranklin.com/perth-to-montreal/comment-page-1#comment-5364 My understanding is that there are no issues with the PM certificate program as even if the Metal unallocated and not initially available it will be due to amounts being refined etc. all the time - hence no issue with getting physical..... Cheers
The fact that the author of that piece references Jason Hommel's claims about "Perth Mint fraud" without noting that Hommel was thoroughly de-bunked shortly after he made them makes me think this is another commentator slash blogger slash some random guy on the internet talking out of his arse.
Yup, do some research on Jason Hommel. "Moreover, my good friend Jason Hommel one of the world's pre-eminent silver experts; and a true, "good smart guy" of the PM world..." LMAO
Do a keyword search. Bron's talked about this in a few of his posts (he works for the mint so take his comments more seriously).
Anyone got any 3rd party audited report of Perth Mint's program? May be Bron can respond whether the PMDP have physical metals 100% stored in Perth Mint vaults in perth or just paper contracts in LBMA? or physical metals stored with Bullion banks of LBMA like JPM, Brinks, HSBC, Scotia? Bron? Any perthmint representative here?
Search the forum for "Hommel". Bron went over all this a few years ago when someone else (another dealer actually) started going on about "fraud".
As a respected blogger - why not post your own rebuttal, noting the Hommel was discredited and providing whatever other infomration you deem relevant. (Including that we still consider ourselves to be in the Western World!) Following that a few selected comments could be placed in his blog linking to yours.... get some new readers perhaps.
I am emailing with Andy about this and answering some of his questions. I think there has been some misunderstandings on how the Mint operates.
