Does anyone else out there have any reservations about Mike's altruistic motivations in leading us to the PM nirvana? I wonder how much dough he makes flogging PM at spot++. I wouldn't like to be waiting for an email from him to pick the top! As a cranky bald headed accountant I never trust a man with that much hair - and a yankee ranga as well!
I kinda think like you as well considering the guy sells silver/gold and Kyosaki brags about "yeh he's into silver, he even owns Silver Mines!!!" But you cant argue with what the price is doing and it cant all be attributed to him...... remember the bulk of the price is reflected by the big institutions and big buyers that trade the metal.
Mike is a public speaker so of course he'll come across spruikish, but he also puts his money where his mouth is and his knowledge on history concerning precious metals is envious. When I picked up his book I was immediately impressed with the content and he's always been a very strong advocate of buying physical, which is an ideology people who look to rip you off will ask you not to do. He's very critical of the financial system and his public dressing down of the Banksters posted recently was amazing content. Earned a LOT of respect from many people for doing that. There's more than one forum member who has met Mike and one member here who actually worked with Mike directly in creating his DVD. I have nothing but praise and respect for Mike Maloney & personally hold his integrity in the highest regard.
Wow - I finally understand!! When you put your money where your mouth is with real estate (and speak publicly) you're a spruiker. When you put your money where your mouth is with PMs (and speak publicly) you're spruikish. Got it!! malachii
Mike is the person who put me onto silver when it was below $20 p/oz so I am doing pretty well so far following his advice.
I'd have honestly thought the property investment clique around here would have been the first to step up and vouch for Mike to be honest. This is rather interesting feedback to be honest. Very interesting indeed...
When I've read Mike's books I've been impressed.....and I can hardly hold it against him for making a dollar as he spreads the news. Just my natural suspicion of all this American. Great to know someone had met him personally. SS should invite him to run some Oz seminars.
I don't have a problem with Mike. I can understand the conflict of interest in promoting PMs while also selling them, but as with all things, listen to the advice and be aware at the same time of the potentail agendas.
Been posted before .... Those who've met me will recognize me. Others won't know which one I am, and I'd like to keep it that way
