Theres no reason to fear a high pm price and doesnt mean anything has gone mad max. Theres many people that argue quality of life is much better than 50 years ago when a buck was a buck, now is 30x. Doesnt mean our q of life has gone down 30x by any means. Im just saying dont fear a 10x and it doesnt mean much will change. Its just a number.
Well at least the overnight spot charts are interesting again, it was getting dull up there in the crows nest during the graveyard watch.
Here's something fascinating.... This thread was started on April Fools day in 2011. In 2 weeks it will be 12 years old and it has currently reached 412 pages. It was started by Turk, a member who is sorely missed and when he began the thread the silver spot price was USD $36.43. As I type this spot silver is at USD $21.71. Turk started this thread during the exciting times when silver had its second Great Spike and everyone was crazy excited. Of course that didn't last long and ever since then it has been ups and downs and a gradual climb back to where it is now. For the early stackers, those who were on the original forum before this iteration it was an especially exciting time. It had a different kind of excitement for people who got into silver during the mania period and spent way too much as silver climbed relentlessly and people piled in and bought at the top of the market and found themselves sliding off the back of the wave. Crazy times, we should mark April Fools day this year with a quiet thank you to Turk, wherever he is for this long-running thread.
Errol, Intelligencer, Renovator, JulieW... so many members contributed so much to both iterations of this forum!
Loved the old night time spot watch posts back then with stacking pirates sailing up and down on the open seas of precious metals prices
Yes, in the early days of the thread it was all pirate talk and nautical references. Sometimes I still do it but I'm sure most people don't know why.
Why are the Arabs investing in usury banks charging interest anyway, thought it was against their religion.
