    Hello stackers,
Just saw that we have 45 members short of 6000.
Was wondering about a mega buy of say 10 oz bars.
If say half of the members here were involved 3000 and we each bought say 1 each that's
30000oz or $894,000. Surely this volume would warrant a decent price.
Any of the site sponsors interested?

    One each would kill postage.

    The more the better.
I was thinking more of say
Get expression of interest and confirm(lock in numbers)
    Get price
Organize pick up points in each state capital cities.
Postage if you can't get to pick up point.
Yes yes there are lots of holes in the planing.
Rather than point them out. Fill them in

For this to work, I think you would have to pickup from an allocated location in each state capital.

Also, over half the members on here are inactive...

Good point, maybe this might get them back involved. Email all members rather than just posting.

With Group buys I think best for one place for delivery and dispatch.

Good idea Chilli, why not try to use out combined buying power??

Maybe a price from willing sponsors for 5000, 10000, 15000 oz's etc and then see who's interested, lock in numbers at whichever oz level/price we end up at.

Maybe a "goto" person in each state, or city etc as required as well. Would save PM's flying around everywhere...

I'll put my hand up to get the Tassie stackers in line!!

How many of the 6000 is spam bot? I seconded the postage will kill the deal for 1 bar. Unless pick up at designated go-to-man.

If you were going to do a buy that large you would need to be able to handle the funds, and get it to the supplier in quick enough time.

Give it a shot, Here ya go SGB will do 10oz KOOK and SNAKE cheaper than if you bought 30+ perthmint bars.
And we will reduce your target to 1000oz.

:) Sound likes a mega plan.
If everyone involves or participate , given and take say 20 % of 6000 involved we have 1200 units
2 each , we have 2400 more or less. 2400 bars @ $300 that is $720,000 say 6 states participate
We have roughly 120,000 per capital. Assume only. Then we need transports, volunteers, ie amour
Trucks , Volunteer safe locations to land this. with this assume 120,000 we get 400 X 10 oz
Bars per capital roughly thats 4000 oz. Will bulk buy be cost effective? Knowingly all factor
    That can be think of.
Surely we not going to post this as we going to pick up at allocation point.
Otherwise why are we going to save say $20 per bar.

What I like about plans like these, is the organisational character of it.
If we would combine that with a wait (starting from the dealers level ofcourse, otherwise they suffer) for bottom prices, we would be able to drain off the max silver from the supply chain.
And this is the very same as what happens at the paperclubbers/Comex/certain ETF's level. They surprise us stackers with their big 'group' buys and sales, we can do the same. :)
In practice this stacking strategy would come down to giving orders to dealers but not yet delivered, so the dealers know the quantity 'pending' and as soon as the targeted price is there, the dealers order it from the higher supply chain, where the actual price lock thus comes into effect.

I think that 20% of 6000 is a pipe dream. If you could get 1% (60) you would be doing well (very well). Then considering that any less than 3 x 10oz will be killed by postage as people will not pick them up even at a central (city) location. I think a more realistic target is 500 to 1000oz. I would be keen on 10 x 10oz Perth Mint bars but they need to be priced less (including delivery) than the Perth Mint sells them for over the counter.

    Hi Forum
    I like this idea
If there is a collective clout on purchase, count me in
    Who decides the bottom?
    Cheers

you know if everyone put enough money in we could suck up all the physical that is around in one transaction and push prices up artificially causing a rush on silver to da moon!
then we all sell at the same time, profit and repeat in 6 months
    just saying

    Aussie vs Germany.
    That would be possible.

Also I don't think you realise, quite a alot if not most of the members here can't readily buy 10oz of silver, I personally know it is very hard to get enough $$ for a 10oz bar not to mention 2 or 3, and I would not be driving into melbourne for a single 10oz bar, and like others have said postage would kill the deal.

Jollykillbill just give me and idea. How about purchase them store them in one location
Then when the price shoot to the moon . Sell them without even worry about postal
The allocation where members involves divided by the profits. All we need is storage.
Couple more times of this it should shake the prices.
