I think it's probably a little more than that for a S1 gilded set. The standard bullion sets that sold here recently went for $1200 and I think the gilded set went for closer to $1800.

I think $1,700 would see the buyer and seller both thinking they could have done better which is usually where the right price sits.

Derrick from the US had one but it was a standard bullion set.

I would put the floor at $1800, as that puts the coins at $150 each.

It takes effort to put together a set, especially if all the coins are in excellent condition. One also has to check the sales figures for gilded lunars from series 1, as I suspect they aren't that high (except maybe for the dragon, snake, and horse). That said, gilded lunar sets are not that hard to find...but not everyone is willing to let it go for a low price.

This all depends of course on how drastic the seller's need for fiat is, or how much the buyer wants it.

    Thanks for your kind input.
    It is helpful to me.

Normally, you just put the item listed on ebay for selling?
Sorry, I am always buying, and first time to sell something.

    Best regards,

    Claude
