"Too early to move into emerging markets and too late to buy US stocks
"Compared to these what is incredibly depressed are mining companies. My preference has always been to own physical gold, but I have to say that at this level the mining companies are relatively good value"

He stresses that it is only relative value that he's seeing in mining stocks - he doesn't sound too keen on anything. But he mentions how when the NASDAQ deflated, the'old economy' stocks woke up and seems to be suggesting that when the S&P 500 type stocks falter there might be a revival of precious metal stocks?

Gold stock watchers here remember from the June-Aug rallies here how strongly they can move
