Has anyone come across this site? There are some interesting thoughts posted on the summary blog on various topics.
Today's post on gold provided a prediction on the price in 2011 and where it may end up when the bubble comes based on previous bubble in recent history.

    http://macrobusiness.com.au/

    IN summary,
"If the current trend continues for the remainder of the calendar year, the medium term price target is $1700
    ...
If you consider that history is repeating, than the target is more likely in the $2700 to $3500 range (..."terminal" point in 2012-13)"

this one's been around for a while (see general PM thread sticky on links)

I'm in two minds about it

On the one hand, unconventional economist and delusional economics, not to mention hobo-jo, are great posters

on the other hand, there is the wily carbon E coyote, who has written such pearls as (roughly) "I don't think democracy is the best system to implement carbon trading/tax/ETS"

begs the question why, if most people don't want it

what does he think - green totalitarian would be better?

I found much of what wile E says so repulsive that I don't even look at the site much

I even suspect he is at least partialy bankrolling it, as his mangy mug appears on the front page on the top right

I agree up to the brackets, disallowing major disruptive effects like new gold backed world currency etc etc.

UE is by far the best, a must read, and I find myself reading the Prince more and more these days. I think his analysis and writing are pretty good. Delusional is a bit hit and miss. The rest mostly a waste of time imo.

UE should have stayed by himself I think.

Agreed, UE and princ are really good. Not so hot on boganomics. Deep T is a fascinating read too.
