I'm confused - SGB is in Australia - what's the reference to SGB in Canada above?

That's the thing though, the Mulligan Mint where sbss use to be produced actually started producing some nice quality rounds. I just want to see how this new place will go now

AR-47 and Cannabis are on their way, they're finalizing design, production etc. No mintage numbers yet but can imagine it'll be similar to previous issues. As long as it's making good money the series will continue ;)

More info on the symbolism of Warbird here

SBSS the website no longer is but the series is being sold through distributors now. Sales from SBSS website have been suspended indefinitely.

What I'm saying house is isn't AR-47 the 5th and Cannibis 6th? Or are they just a product of the bad split of mulligan mint and sbss and not being realised as sbss? Ive benn looking but can't find answers....oh well

Absolutely no idea as haven't been following the releases or Duane/other guy conflict with much interest.

So far I've seen AR-47 and Cannabis both being called the fifth in the series but I think it's the Warbird that's being physically released on the 29th so that makes it the official fifth.

This "new place", Golden State Mint, is a very well established private mint in the US, I highly doubt quality will be an issue as it was for the start-up "mint" - Mulligan Mint.

I have a lot of rounds from the golden state mint and they are very good quality I doubt that there will be to many issues.

All this confusion will make selling sets down the track pretty complicated. It seems there will be a number of plausible stories.

I think what some are missing here is that D&D, Slave Queen, Trivium, Freedom Girl, Cannabis & AG-47 were all made by the initial Chris Duane / Mulligan Mint partnership. Chris Duane left that long ago and thus Mulligan Mint / Original SBSS partnership has no more of his designs to release.

Chris went off on his own and is having his new rounds minted by GSM.

The confusion is because we basically now have 2 companies referring to themselves as SBSS.

I don't see how, I think a complete BU set should include the AR and Marijuana ones, only those who don't have them will make a fuss. Also when buying people should look properly

What about the 5oz d&d? Not part of the bu set?

Don't worry the 5oz D & D coin will still make up the set which you

    have already invested in.

I personally will not get involved with the politics. I buy the rounds

    on silver content and demand.

The new Warbird round is being minted by

Golden State Mint, to be released on the 29th July.

I have noticed just a couple of slight differences on the Silver Bullet

Shield, one is Chris Duanes initials on one of the bullets.

    Adjacent to the word "none".

The way I see it (don't take it as gospel)
The first coins we done through a partnership CD & MM, all went pair shaped and sales were suspended.
CD split the partnership and MM continued on producing/selling coins including planned future coins.
Seems like a behind the scenes legal action has taken place and MM who make & sell the coins and operate the SSBS website have been told/ordered/issued legal ruling to stop selling under the SSBS logo.

Now looks like CD has taken ownership of SSBS and has issued a new coin and is calling it the 5th in the series as he had no part/financial interest in what MM did once he left, this being the reason he does not recognize ag47 and so on

D&D 5oz was the final coin in the series for MM
Warbird is CD's next coin in his series

Just my opinion, not sure how true it is

There is a whole lot of speculation in your first paragraph that neither side of the tiff is talking about, but in the end it's just about played out...until the next panty wadding...but that's a later story...One thing is for sure, MM is done selling these and have moved in to other things...see the link I put up on page 1 of this thread.

That's fine and all, but since they all have the SBSS shield on them, and if you want to collect the entire set regardless of the politics:
    1) Debt and Death
    2) Trivium
    3) Slave Queen
    4) Freedom Girl
    5) AG-47
    6) Cannabis
    7) Warbird

There are more to come, and according to the sites selling Warbird, they'll be minted until Sept 20th, 2013. There are a lot of one-off items within the first 6, like proofs, proof obverse and bu reverse, 5oz, free reign and whatever else they could come up with to proliferate the line, but the above are the basic products that were offered in bu.

Well bullionbouse has sold out of everything SBSS now, just got email confirmation.

I don't believe there will be many AG-47 or Cannabis floating around in Australia as a result, which should be good for prices going forward.
That really is all that matters, the politics is not worth getting into - both Duane and the Mint were after money and it ended up costing them both. If it were anything else the MM would still be churning these out, because they are a very capable mint now with great quality control.

Who would have thought that was ever going to be said?

I like this new design, not seeing the drone though, I wish they had made that more obvious. I worry about the finish too with this new mint, going to be hard to top the MM after they got their Burnishing Machines going for the last couple of releases.
