Lasseter's Reef - Quartz Outcrop - "And There It Was"

    Old story, but...still a great dream for those guys who would love to run a detector over this place for a month or so during mid winter. :)

    He paid $1500 on eBay for a map purporting to show the fabled pot of gold in the Territory Outback.
    The multimillionaire and Lasseter's 87-year-old son Bob flew to the spot marked X on the map.

    I've read a book or two on the subject & I've concluded that shadowy introverted Lasseter was able to convince investors to mount numerous explorations based on some samples he appropriated from parts unknown. Then he set about rediscovering something that hadn't been found yet. The area where he identified as being most likely isn't mineral rich. There are some impressive gossan outcrops like the one pictured above, beautiful, snow white & gold free. Good luck to Dick I hope he finds the Mother.

    See that big round piece of quartz?

    All you need to do, is move the boulder, and...the reef is yours for the taking. :p :D
