I am just wondering with all the hype around bitcoin, what happens when huge fortunes are made in Bitcoins how would someone transfer into AUD and ride off into the sunset? Given the breakthrough $1000, if someone chucked $50,000 from their super onto it a year ago at $15 or so that would be $3.3 million now. How could someone withdraw that? Any info would be great thanks.
Mt.Gox could handle the trade... but good luck getting the funds out. Have often thought that there's a niche market for being a BTC broker for whale sized deals bypassing the exchanges altogether.
I have wondered this as well, in Australia we dont have a lot of options. I wonder if coinjar or so on could handle heaps of cash outs in a short period.. might have to do it in increments.. And as GP said above, I think there is a good market for anything crypto in Aus at the moment..Have played with different ideas foe trying to grab the aussie $'s.. unfortunately at this time of year my day job is a 12 hour gig, not leaving enough time to develop it..
This is where investing in Bitcoins becomes tricky. It's all good and well being a billionaire in Bitcoin terms but how the hell could you turn that into real purchases like real estate unless there's a total paradigm shift and people start excepting Bitcoins directly?
That's not really "handling the trade" then, is it? I mean, I could do that trade provided that you're not expecting to actually receive anything...

Virgin Galactic is now accepting BTC for it's USD $250K flights.......so there's an option To Da Moon for the BTCers http://www.ausbt.com.au/richard-branson-buy-virgin-galactic-spaceflights-with-bitcoins
I've heard international bank wires can be used for the big cashouts. I've never sent or received one. Think that'd be a good choice if the exchange had a decent reputation?
