    G'day Guys,
First post but long time lurker....

I have been introduced to a fractional (1 Gm) savings system with a commision system built in. Free to join German company, cant find any problems thought I would share the knowledge.

System is free but by a sponsors link.
    Mine is <deleted>

Would be interested in your comments. Gold for the masses seems like a trend....

    Keep The Faith

    do I need an excuse?
I have been into PMs for 8 years and have my stack. Most people ake me where to buy but are too lazy to bother .
I like the idea of gently moving people into pm in a simple savings type system.
We all are here to plug pm so this is another type.

Why not buy unallocated gold by the gram from Goldstackers?

if you are an average family who knows thwy should be into gold but cant buy an ounce I think the whole idea of small denomination is sensible.

If I have 1 ounce and my car blows a gasket I may need to sell it.
If I had grams I could sell what I needed and still hold.

Given the fact that almost no one has pms I reckon its a great starting point.

This company allows free storage or delivery. Sales are credited to a prepaid card.

Its about getting the average person starting to get an eduation without any major risk.

Let's do the sums, at current prices:

Karatbar: Buy 1g at 49.7 EUR + FX fees. Sell at 34.19 EUR, less FX fees. Assuming 3% FX fees (generous), you're still looking at ~16 EUR per gram buy/sell spread - about 30% of ask price!

Goldstackers: Buy 1g at A$48.80, no other fees. Sell at A$46.80, no other fees. $2 per gram buy/sell spread - about a 4% of ask price.

    I know which I prefer!!!

gold stackers do not do 1 grm physical from what I see.
If you are trading then this will be of no interest to you. if you are just wanting to save in a different currency than Euro, $ GBP then its a cheap way to get some small saving going outside the banking system.

    At the moment 1 grm
Pamp 1 grm $70.40 from ABC
    KB 1 grm $50.71 Euro

so not a big price diffrence

Looks like my stupid "smart" phone didn't post the topic...

Our oldest (biggest) jewellery shop started with similar system here few years ago. You need to pay at least 40 every 4 or 6 months. After you have 5 grams you can get first bar.

The price difference between purchase and selling price is not so big.

Although this company has rank "good delivery" I know it's not Argor Heraeus or Umicore or one of more known companies. But I'm helping "local" economy :p and I think it's good for those who can't afford to buy more than 5 grams at time, especially in time like this (gold prices quite ok, but economy is in bad condition). If prices increases significantly I don't buy and wait, or if prices go lower I buy more.

When time will come I will probably sell everything and buy few "bigger" bars. This just "force" me to invest something in gold, at least in few months...
