    The BoJ buys new issue bonds from the government rather than the secondary market and the government spends it on stuff or people.

    We had our own helicopter money in 2008 when the politburo sent us all a $900 cheque.

    Went straight into a new Chinese TV set etc and the trade balance went south overnight.

    We double paid our annual rates! been a year ahead ever since.

    We had our own helicopter money in 2008 when the politburo sent us all a $900 cheque.

    The US sent a Jumbo Jet to Wall ST to bail out the banks. :)
