Is the whole lunar thing getting a bit over-played?

I like lunar series ONLY because of the size of the coin! 1/10 lunar gold is almost the size 1/4 gold kangaroo. Nothing else. For design, I like kangaroos more.

Maybe every country is jumping on the lunar bandwagon but the Australian Perth mint lunar series is the best by a mile, they are very popular in Europe and America & as someone said all the other lunar offerings will eventually fall by the wayside.

Other series I'd like to see are 10oz silver proof versions of the lunars & a 2oz silver proof version of the roos

You must be mistaking me with someone else???

    I have Gold roos
    Silver
    kooks
    Koalas
    Wedge tailed eagles
    Crocs
and a few other legal tender 1ozers including one philharmonic I hate plus some rounds and a few Southern cross 1oz bars and a Perth Mint 1oz proof like token in a case.

    No lunars :)

By the way I have a 1oz Mercury round and the obverse and reverse are the same way around, shouldnt it be medal fashion like other USA coins?

I like the PM lunar series but feel like I'm late to the party and don't want to play catchup.. I wouldnt concider buying a lower quality lunar coin from the other mints though and they seem like every mint has one. Some of the real high premium specialty lunar coins are nice but too rich for my blood.

I dont buy to sell or buy in the hope a premium will rise on a false limited availability, that does not mean I no nothing about Lunars it just makes me a non potential buyer to those who have invested in lunar s purely to sell on and make money.

I dont buy silver coins to make money I buy them for personal future post retirement reasons.

I like rabbits and horses that's why I buy lunars. I don't have expectations of (semi)numismatic value, at the very best I hope to sell them to some1 that likes rabbits and horses too and is therefore willing to pay the extra I paid.
And that's all folks, curtains closed, clapclapclap the hands. :D
