Will your metal detector pick up iron in your blood?. The reason I ask is my C Scope CS3MX seems to pick up a small signal in a couple of people I tried this on. The shoulder blade is where the signal is. That is not far from the heart so I wonder if iron in the blood should be a consideration?. Disclaimer: Please do not try this on anyone with a pacemaker or pregnant as I am not sure that it is safe. I would be interested in your results / comments, Cheers.
Try fe/co discriminate and see if the signal blanks. Will tell you if its an iron signal. If you still get a signal its probably their microchip. If in doubt you should have a dig and see what it is. You never know, it might be something rare or valuable.
they recon the high freq machines Gold Bug 2 etc will hit iron in blood, not tried it and highly doubt it but been wrong before so ya never know.
Interesting find, was iron picked up on everyone? And were the people related? Reason I ask is that I found out about hemochromatosis in the last few years and that it runs in my family. Asking if this could be picked up with a metal detector was a question I asked my mum who found out she had it..... Along with when you walk past the fridge are you attracted to it. Luckily she isn't fat/offended.
It looks like my metal detector can indeed pick up the iron in blood. As EM suggested above I fiddled around with the discriminate dial and a setting of 5 or higher was needed to eliminate any signal with just my hand passing very near. Blood results are all in the normal range as far as I know, may change on a full Moon when handling monster boxes of Silver.
