I inherited a heap of old coins from my grandfather. I have looked most of them up and as far as I can see they go for between $2 - $5 dollars (the shilling and sixpence a little more). If I was to list these for sale would I get any interest? I'm posting here before making a sale thread to gauge interest because these aren't the type of thing that normally sell on here. Also they are interesting to look at.

I am going to split the images across two posts - Pennies and Half Pennies with the other coins in this post. Apart from all the coins below there is a 10 Centimes coin from France (1879); a small coin with 1/4 G on it from 1942 (across the top it says Nederl Indie) the word is split up by the cross of a crown and I couldn't find out much about those - any input would be appreciated. there are three other coins (pennies and half pennies) that are so old they were not worth photographing).

This is the first time I have tried to photograph coins so please forgive the amateurish images.

+1 .... None of these are rare or hold high numismatic value.

Some of my most treasured coins fall into this category. Just keep them and enjoy them.

    Ck.

Cheers. Will keep them all and pass them on to my kids. Crazy to think that he probably got the French coin while there during the war.
