I couldn't help it today I just felt like picking up some maples, all this MSM coverage of silver got me a little excited. Besides I like my Canadian coins and haven't bought any in a long while. Anyone else buying at these prices?

Definitely have been buying at these prices and I don't plan in stopping anytime soon.

One of the simple pleasures you can have as a stacker is the purchase of an ounce here, an ounce there. It's always a heart warming moment picking up more silver and a regular visit to your dealer with a little white metal in the pocket when you leave warms the cockles of most stacker's hearts.

    I love maples.

But I also love perth mint product. I love eagles. I love philharmonics.

    I love silver :)

At the mo, I really love Canadian Bears, got a few yesterday at 48 a pop. Not cheap but they look nice.

I got my maples for $43.25 each but I guess the bears are worth more, they are very nice coins indeed.

I know I can always buy silver on eBay or from a dealer so I don't often impulse buy...

...but if I am passing a market stall and I see some old silver coins I will pick them up, even if they aren't a great bargain. Same goes if I come across any of the coin club members looking to liquidate a bit of stock.

Picked up a couple of Kookaburras from the local Sunday Market, one is worth bullion and will take a couple weeks to get to the price I paid for it but the other one has a lot of collector value and will go on eBay for about three times what I bought it for.

First Kookaburras I have ever bought, very expensive way of picking up silver, won't be doing that again.

    Hey all

I just got my 2009 kooaburra today, got it with a 2008 as well, 100 bucks, which wasn't too bad since i've wanted one for ages and the bullion stores are selling 2011's for $48! I kid you not!

I will never sell these they are so beautiful. Does anyone know if these ANA sets are in airtites in packaging cos I'd like to take them out?
