Australian Lunar Series II 2012 Year of the Dragon 5oz Silver Proof Coin

    Mintage of 5000
    RRP of $495
"First design in the exiting new series"

    Need I say anymore...

I won't be staying up to buy this sucker, the way the pm is going these things will be available for a while.....

So what's next guys? 10 oz proof and then maybe a 20oz proof, all with a 5000 mintage. Or maybe a 5oz coloured proof.

I think we should expect dragon releases all the way upto December- overlapping the Snake in all it's glory.

May the BS keep on flowing.

    Selfcentered.

There wont be a Snake coin next year, instead there's going to be the 1st Anniversary edition of the 2012 Dragon. And the following year, the 2nd anniversary and so on. Its gonna be dragons forever!

Another thats not for me. Anything that cant form part of a set I steer clear of. First year a 5oz proof has been done so there wont be any 5oz proof lunar series 2 set available so, not for me!

    .... ha .... Yet.

Didn't the Perth Mint leave the door open to going back and creating high relief Lunars for previous years? I'm sure Bullion Baron dug this up somewhere in a blog post.

Maybe it was the privies he was talking about.

    I can't remember.

It was a mistake by Coin Club and they sent a revised email to advise the updated price. Wonder if anyone bought the 5oz Silver Proof Dragon at that price

Interesting that the price in that release for the purple dragon is $99... it's $90 at BB.
