Do you aussie guys have that stupid little pin size mark on the queen's check? I'm in the US and mine has it and another US dealer said they got 20 (dont ask me how) and every single one had it, and everyone they talked to has it. Apparently the airtight case was made a hairs breath too short and the cheek is the high point and rubs one speck off. it looks like someone took a pinhead and pricked the queens cheek thats how small it is, but it is definitely there. i'm wondering if the damage came during shipping and if any of you aussies have a perfect coin. if you do, be careful handling it or maybe turn it upside down in the case so the weight will be on the other side
Just got mine (U.S.) and it had the mark. I pulled it out of the capsule (gloves on) took a camera lens brush, cleaned both the dust on the cheek and the stuff on the plastic and then flipped the coin over when I put it back in the capsule. I was looking at the bottom half of the capsule and it looks as though it has a slight step for the outside rim to ride on which may give the necessary clearance for the cheek. Could be the coins were put in upside down. Don't know for sure but mine looks much better now. It won't go in for grading so it's all good.
I got to examine a few last week and yes, they all had a mark on the Queen's cheek. Poor form Perth Mint.
