If you had to sell all your silver/gold but one piece, which one piece would you keep? And why? (obviously a kilo gold coin! But I'm askin about the design) I find this question hard to answer! I have a top 10! But really hard to narrow it down to the #1! Thanks for any feedback! Good day!
This one for me, I had a whole bunch of numi stuff (went crazy early on) but made the decision to sell them all and replace them with weight over prettiness. I had collected a few of these and would of sold them all if they were bought at the time of sale but still have two left, Ive decided to keep them as the N,T is my home state and I really like the detail on the Croc. I don't think emotional attachment is a good thing for stackers overall, Even numi collectors who do so for future profit can be affected by third party decisions as evidenced with some of the Perth Mints recent decisions. ^^^some good moves and wise words there Southerncross Mine would have to be the gilded 1oz 2012 Dragon as it was the first bit of silver I ever bought and still think it's the most attractive design.
I didn't think that anyone originated from the NT? I thought they were all blow-ins? Re the OP, i don't think that i am attached to any of my silver items. There are some gold items that i would keep but re silver... maybe a few predec for interest and a Victorian crown in numi condition.
1817 George III half sov for me. History, right there. If I had to sell everything - I'd keep that. Besides, its nearly 200 years old.
He mentioned silver though... edit* my mistake... re gold my victorian shield half sov and french 20 Francs (Napoleon Bonaparte and the Angel for good luck)
Shield Half Sovs are for stackers with taste... That George III is the BEST buy I've ever had from this site (thanks AeL) That Napoleon 20F would be beautiful!
This.. I know its kinda cheating as there is more than one peice of silver in there but I love the pirate style chest and the draws that have all the certificates explaining the origins and history of each coin. It's not just silver its a history lesson of Australain currencey and it's a keeper.
I dont think there is anything in my stack that isnt for sale except the WW2 service medal I inherited in my grandmas coin collection its the only thing I really have from her. It was a good score. ended up with 9 oz of junk and a bunch of base metal collector coins I traded for 3 Engelhard rounds!
the round 50 cent coin that got me started 4 months ago when silver was alot cheaper got me started and has been fun since
This. I love this bar. Not only because I think they're fairly uncommon, but because it's the perfect size to hold and play with.
I forgot Id have to add my collection of 1958 canadian death dollars its an addiction I have I must say theyre the best piece of 80% ag the rcm ever made. http://www.govmint.com/item/1958_$1Totem_PoleSilver/13153
Kookaburras, particularly 1990/1/2 and 2009. Also have a 2006 proof coin of the Duyfken (dutch ship) that I'd hate to part with. If I had to choose, though, it would be one of the kooks.
my 2 oz 2000 kook, sure it's all tarnished from being handled, dinged from being dropped, but it was my first silver coin. A present from my grandma, and what got me in to buying physical silver GO GRANNY!! what a wise old bird
