if stacking didn't exist(and im guessing its relatively new) who are all the coins/bars/meant for when the mint makes them?
or I maybe should have asked , has the bullioin items increased since stacking became more popular ,
suppose a good example would be a monster box, or a 10 oz coin who would have purchased those items if stacking wasn't here sorry could I add

    when did stacking start

They're for anybody who can afford to buy them.
It started the moment that the first piece of precious metal had been identified.

At that time, in the cubby house out back, we would cover pennies with the gold, aluminium, milk tops to make gold doubloons.

The central banks are the biggest stackers of gold

July 13, 1977 a close friend advised me to buy gold.
He also said if I saw any pre 1965 silver coins in my change I should stash them away.
I did for a while, lost interest, until recently.

Every now and then people find clay pots full of coins that Roman Soldiers buried before battle. I'm assuming battles they didn't personally fare well in
