Thought I had today: if the euro crashes, people might rush to buy dollars. Perhaps the EU could in fact adopt the dollar as a currency to replace the dollar. Kosovo is using euros after its independence. But, even if the euro notes and the currency would be kept, the ties to the dollar could become stronger. Even so, many experts agree that the current euro being used in Europe is a "eurodollar".
