Howdy stackers hope all is well I was going through a collection of old coins that my 93 yr old grandmother had hidden in a old box which contained some 1700's - 1800's Trade Tokens from Australia and other old coins ( if you would like to see them let me know and i shall take some pics of them for you ) and i came across this. Any help would be much appreciated. Weighs 6.20 grams. Cheers. Gazza.
Thanks mate just going for walk with the dog and i will up load the trade tokens in about half hr mate.
the value in these coins tends to be in identification with , given the typical strike quality, is difficult. generally they get $10 to 20 max. i have a ton of them floating around in need of id.
I will look them up when I get home and can dig out the appropriate book. But they do look like common issues. However they do have variety so worth checking
Thanks mate. I have had a little search and prices vary so much its hard to know and the info on them is a little sparse.
The market on these is young but their are books that give indication of rarity but no price guide per se. I know what I know about values based in browsing auction results but it can be a bit of a crap shooting I have a few different copies of this including early editions https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1745770...xK8l5q6Xt8YybaybakymBsJV31WjyUIRoCfn8QAvD_BwE
Thank you Serial for that, I shall have a closer look at what I have now I know what to look for. Thank you much appreciated mate
