    If they aren't in trouble then why is their society going into a depression? The article reminds me of Swan And Gillard proclaiming that we are in fantastic shape yet retail had it's worst year in half a century, and the housing market is falling.

    Meh... I'm of the belief that if a financial advisor was any good at making $$$$ or decisions (or both) he'd be a rich bastard enjoying his life on his million dollar gold plated yacht instead of giving "financial advice".

    No financial advisor is worth my time or money.

    What I got from that article:

    The $14.3 trillion is an eye popping figure but if I fudge the numbers just so it's really not so bad see - trust me.

    He did recommend for my wife and I to lock in our interest rate a few years ago at 8% than he told me not to get income protection before I had a car crash.
    Now I get a email time to time saying that we must make another appointment.

    it would be funny if now they came out and said we dont owe 14.3 trillion someone made an error and put the decimal at the wrong spot when typing its actually 1.43 trillion , and you see all of us selling on ss
