Hyperinflation in Germany - A wise senior gives firsthand

    Unluckily, the message about hyperinflation and the request for modesty lose a lot of credibility due to the statements made in the beginning of the video ...

    Neither can I, of course. Maybe we are conditioned to be oversensitive concerning comparisons like these. (Wanna screw up your political career in Germany? Yes, it's that simple). But ignoring this "punch in the face of political correctness": It must have been a frustrating experience for the people in the first half of the 20th century to first lose their money twice, first through hyperinflation, and then through the transition from Reichsmark to Deutsche Mark. They knew the true value of paper "money". But this awareness about the fragility of paper money probably disappeared afterwards, due to the strong and stable Deutsche Mark. We'll see who will be unprepared for the things to come, now that the weak currncies are back.
