    People having a job to be able to put food on the table is not exploitation. Their other options compared to working at Foxconn etc are typically worse.

    I disagree and would instead say that the wealth of the East has been increasing at a far faster rate that what it has been increasing in the West. Due to the sheer number of people being lifted out of extreme poverty it is more visible to the general population. Besides short term fluctuations, real wealth per worker across the majority of the West hasn't been decreasing and has had a clear increasing trend. Wealth creation isn't some sort of zero sum game where "winners" are made at the expense of "losers".
