Hello folks - a newbie to the whole PM thing - so be gentle I just started off by buying a baby coin proof set for my daughter in 2006 when she was born and now am totally addicted to buying anything 2006 to stash away for her. I missed out on the lunar coins so have been scouring Ebay for a deal Ive also decided to dump everything I got ie. my record collection (6000 odd pieces of vinyl and over 1000 CDs), my old comic book collection when I collected as a kid (2000ish) and every other bit of rubbish in my house that is taking up space to sell and convert into silver or gold. SAD BUT TRUE
A warm welcome to you! Nothing sad about selling collectibles to fund purchases of gold and silver. Enjoy your stay, I'm sure you will learn a lot here.
Dude - Good music on vinyl is going to be priceless one day I would reconsider selling your vinyl Welcome
Hi there Blippy Whorebucks! Should be able to find a 2006 lunar dog for around 70ish if you are lucky..
thanks all Pixha: I was a DJ for over 10 years and in that time I bought a lot of dancefloor fodder - stuff you have to play for the crowd. IMO all rubbish throwaway stuff, I would never sell the good stuff. gewse: there is a 1oz coloured dog on ebay with the box and everything atm with a buy it now price of $129 - is this a good price or dya reckin i keep looking?
I'm not too sure on the premium for the coloured lunars, but I personally find them to be quite fugly Having a quick look on completed ebay listings, one went for around $100 (110709692130) and another went for around $125 (260815213433). So I guess its really up to the buyer what they are willing to pay..
Hi Blippy, If you're after the coloured dog, go here http://www.coins-notes.com.au/product_info.php/cPath/61_64/products_id/41 just saved you $44 (you can get another 1oz koala for that)
I know there was a television movie with the 'W-word' as the title. Just the 'W-word'. I suppose the word is used so profusely its beginning to lose its power, like the word 'dyke'.
Lunarowl: UR A GEM!!!!!!!!!!! mate I knew I came to the right place. Its only as a keepsake momento for my daughter - its not going into my stack or anything, hopefully it can be the start of her own stack. In saying that I tried to swindle a don bradman 20c coin from her the other day - tried to swap it for a normal one but she refused so i ended up saying I will keep it for her and put it in a 2x2 along with the rest of the coins fishball: lol - just a name that came off the cuff, no harm meant by it
Welcome blippy, I have a 2006 proof kangaroo if you're interested. It was quite a good design that year. You can give me records for it if you like.
