Do they use a separate stamping die and re-stamp or drill the original die and insert a new section? If an insert are these changeable? It may be a way to date the SS Birthday coin (http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-28131-happy-birthday-silver-stackers.html) if the latter method
Modified dies most of the time, but privies can be applied afterwards. Just to clarify - the round that was announced in the birthday thread is not exclusively for the milestone of the forum, just fortuitous timing.
