Having a preference for bullion as against coins, I keep an eye on the sales threads for good buys. Now its accepted that you will pay somewhere between spot and dealer price.
I notice that many sales are offered by the same people (not all but a lot). Given the cost of ebay and the likes, postage and the sellers time, how do they make a profit?

Not surprised. Was wondering what the hell such a question was doing in such a highbrow area as Hijacked Threads anyway. :D

When I hunt on ebay I look at items for auction only. "Buy it now"s are usually a rip off IMO.

Sorts a lot of the wheat from the crap.
