Hi for those who missed out on the PM sale and want to hedge their bets against Talisman Coins. I just ordered one from this ebay listing for USD$129.95 including free shipping world wide. http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHINESE-DRA...857?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item564a0773e1
That coin looks great. According to the bid history all 50 sold in 2 hours. Frankly, I have more confidence in PowerCoins delivering than Talisman Coins.
I buy before from powercoins. And all fine. But in the pm web page they are adding coins in batchs. If you saw unavaible try 5 minutes later.
For all those like me who ordered from Talisman Coins, they are selling some on ebay right now for USD $149.99. What are the chances they are going to fill our orders which we made at a lower price? Zilch? Nada? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tuvalu-2012...838?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item231cd7a4ce
According to him on the phone, we'll get our coins. Now if he sells 500 coins at that price on ebay, then I'll get real suspicious. He had a very large stock of these coins though. Like 600 at least.
Good to know. I am just wondering now about the resale value of these coins now that these big ebayers are actually setting the bar a little low.
Eventually they run out and that's when the real fun begins. The price is steadily climbing so far but it won't be until the big dealers run out that the real price discovery begins(at least until the secondary wave of resellers hits the market once they receive their coins from the dealers)
Why bother listing it if you have no intention of honouring the order? I mean if you want to make the extra money, then ok, don't sell any at the lower price.
We'll find out in a six weeks or so when we know for sure whether or not I got my order. If he fails to deliver on my order then we know for sure the guy is scamming people. I ordered 20 of the dragons at the lowest bulk order price he offered on the first batch of coins listed on his website. I left a special note on the order form that said "this is my first order with you guys, do it right and you have a long term customer" I then spoke to him on the phone the same day of the order and he promised he would not do exactly what it is we're all speculating he's going to do. He said it might take six weeks or more for delivery but that I would get them. So clearly, if he fails to deliver to me, it was a conscious decision to do so and he's totally unreliable and should be avoided. So lets just wait and see what happens.
It's been hinted at here and the other Chinese Dragon thread that Talisman is a risky order. I have no experience with them. I am concerned because I believe that my order is good and I will get the coin so I am turning down other buying opportunities and watching the price go up.
I deal with Talisman a lot. Sometimes it can take 2 weeks to get my order or it can take more than 2 months to received. Sometimes i even forget that i ordered, because it took so long. Yesterday when i check Talisman site in the evening, they were out of the stock of Chinese Dragons at original Mint price. Today they have them again in stock, but now with the E-bay price at $149.95 with 10 coins remaining in stock.
